The painting captures the moment when summer flora is at its most vibrant:

Red Flowers: With their vivid hues and fully unfurled petals, they serve as a vivid symbol of vitality, passion, and ambition. Their upward-reaching posture is a visual embodiment of “soaring to the heavens” and “turning toward the sun.”

Ink-wash leaves and branches: Rendered with calligraphic lines of varying intensity, they reveal the plant’s structure, resilience, and the weight of experience gained through wind and rain, serving as the foundation that supports the flower’s “ascension.”

These two concepts are two sides of the same coin, together forming a complete ideal of character that embodies both lofty aspirations and a pure, childlike heart.
